Derrell Curry has more than 20 years experience in representing large corporate users of office space. Prior to joining Studley, Derrell was senior vice president at CB Richard Ellis where he was a national top producer. By assisting corporations in developing and implementing occupancy strategies, Derrell successfully coordinated such activities as restructuring existing leases, evaluating and negotiating relocation alternatives and managing lease portfolios.
Derrell has represented a broad range of clients, including leading engineering firms, consulting firms, aerospace companies, biomedical companies, financial services firms and technology companies. He has consummated more than 16 million square feet of office lease transactions and has negotiated some of the largest leases ever completed in Houston. During his distinguished real estate career, Derrell has established himself as one of the top brokers in Houston. He is best known as an innovative strategist and negotiator, allowing his clients to enhance their bottom lines while maintaining flexibility and avoiding pitfalls.
Activities & Achievements
In 1995, Derrell was named Houston Office Leasing Broker of the Year by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) He has also earned annual recognition from the Houston Business Journal as a commercial real estate “Heavy Hitter” and “MVP”. Derrell serves on numerous civic associations and boards and has held the offices of both treasurer and president of the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA).

Derrell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Houston.
